Laboratory Door X289

The X289 Access Control System serves as a primary security barrier and isolation mechanism for high-risk biogenetic laboratories. Engineered to withstand extreme pressure differentials and potential hazardous leaks, the door features an integrated automatic locking mechanism linked directly to the sector's central AI core.
The upper manifold houses a ventilation and pressure-balancing system with a four-conduit configuration, ensuring zero atmospheric leakage during operation. Designed for long-term use in corrosive underground environments, the unit's exterior utilizes industrial-grade titanium alloy plating reinforced with a chemical-resistant yellow protective coating.

• Modeling: Full Hard-Surface workflow with a focus on modularity and functional industrial design.
• Texturing & Weathering: High-fidelity PBR workflow combined with custom procedural masks. Special attention was given to edge wear, surface scratching, oil leaks near the pipe seals, and rust accumulation on the main yellow housing to achieve a weathered, lived-in aesthetic.
• Lighting & Shading: Rendered using Cycles in Blender. The scene utilizes a dynamic contrast between dark, metallic industrial floor panels and high-intensity emissive shaders (neon blue, crisp white, and warning red indicators) to draw focus toward the access panel interface.
• Decals & UI: Custom vector stencils applied for the screen interface (TX908 / X829), warning stripes, and typography elements to enhance realism.
